Dr. Kelly is nice …

OK … before I say anything else … I have to tell you something really personal. Today I let someone touch my boy bit (not bits cause I don’t have all my bits anymore). I tried not to giggle when it happened but it was slightly embarrassing! 
Yep, I was right. I did overhear correctly the other day … Today I went to the V-E-T.
I knew something was up when I awoke this morning and TBU told me I was going for a car ride today and I had to be really good. I was thinking, “Are we going to the beach again? … or maybe to the park so I can watch you throw away another perfectly good tennis ball …” and then he said that V-E-T word! 
At first I was a little nervous about the whole thing, but then I remembered how my friend Toffee told me her mum is a V-E-T and that she is really nice, so I hoped whoever checked me over today would be just like Toffee’s mum. Guess What ? She was! 
It all started like this …
Well come on … let’s go if we are going …
I jumped into the car and off we went … HH was obviously in a hurry to get there ’cause she was going so fast it made the photo go all blurry! 
As soon as we got there, I was asked to sit on the weighing machine and told to sit very still. I think it must have been broken, ’cause it took a long time for the little numbers to stop flashing … and when they stopped it read 42.1Kg !! That isn’t what it read the last time I sat on the weighing machine, so it obviously isn’t very accurate! 
While I was waiting for my name to be called, another dog came in. I saw him sit on the weighing maching and the numbers didn’t look anything like mine did!
Then the door to the secret room opened and I heard someone say “This must be Charlie!” It wasn’t a voice I had heard before but it sounded really nice so I went into the secret room. There I met Dr. Kelly …
I liked her straight away. She gave me lots of cuddles and let me chew her door stop! What? Wasn’t I supposed to do that? 
She rubbed me in lots of places and said that I may need to have some magic photos taken of my hips and spine and donate some of my extremely valuable blood so they can see how special it is? 
It was all a bit exhausting really. When I got home I felt the need to have a little nap.
Tonight, my food bowl is going to be taken away straight after I empty it and I am not allowed to eat anything else for a while. Tomorrow I am going back to the RSPCA V-E-T Hospital so they can take the magic photos of me and stuff …
If I don’t tell you about my day tomorrow, it’s just because I will probably be a lot sleepy.
So I will tell you all about it as soon as I can …

Dr Kelly sounded very nice! Fancy her letting you chew her door stop! I get yelled at when I do that…

Charlie mate, I had all those things done not so long ago. Don’t worry it’s not too bad but you’ll be sleepy that’s for sure. I hope the results are all good. Take it easy matie.

Hi Charlie,
So glad to hear Dr Kelly turned out to be a nice vet, the last one i saw when my man bit removal went a bit pear shaped was not so nice, i didn’t try to chew her doorstop i tried to chew HER. She was most undelicate in her examination and i was not pleased!
I think its cool you get to have some magic pictures taken, I’ve never had any of those!

Hi Charlie,I work at the RSPCA where you were adopted and you sure have grown!! I am so glad you are doing well and look very happy and what I call alot of our dogs ‘well loved’! I love visiting your blogs from time to time to see how you are going. Eve also keeps me up to date. We often talk and chuckle together over lunch about the things you get up to. What a nice surprise to here from you, my favourite little doggie,well your not so little now.I hope everything went well at the VETS.
