It’s that day again …

October 14th, 2008 Posted in At Home, CD-TV, YouTube No Gravatar

Yep, it’s that day of the week when the Truck Driver Man visits, and as you know that means the gates to the outside world are open for most of the day resulting in me having to spend lots of the day inside the house!

BUT,  I am slowly getting the hang of all this. See, I knew it was Tuesday from the moment I awoke, so I tried to make the most of my available outside time before the Truck Driver Man arrived.

When Moo woke up, I took him outside for a bit of a heart to heart …

Charlie & Moo

Sometimes Moo needs some encouragement to get ready for school, so I try to sit down with him in the morning and have a chat.

Then I have to make sure he cleans all the sand out of his shoes before he puts them on.

Charlie & Moo

Moo likes to play in the sand after school and somehow a lot of it ends up in his shoes. I reckon all that sand looks better on the ground outside rather than all over his bedroom floor!

Having organised everyone for their new day of learning, I decided I would check on the security in the back yard. I thought I was doing a good undercover job, but somehow Pumpkin caught me on camera! Check the moving picture for the results!

It wasn’t long after that I had to come inside. It was a very boring day after that. I pretty much had to stay inside all day, except for when HH asked me to guard the valuable newspapers in the garage for a short while.

Charlie Daniels

Hey! Don’t laugh .. it’s an important job okay!

Oh yeah, I nearly forgot to tell you some exciting news!  Today I launched my own channel on Dogs With Blogs Television. It is called CD-TV. It’s commercial free and will be showing re-runs of all the moving pictures that get shown here. Thanks to Greg @ DWB for his fantastic support. You can click the button below if you would like to tune in!  :dogblush:

Pity you didn’t get that magpie Charlie! You did a good job of sneaking up on it. It’s a good thing Pumpkin caught it on camera — now you can analyse what you did and improve for next time!!!!!! :dogph34r:

ooohh great stealth technique!! shame the feathered thing made its escape. I’m glad Dad wasn’t here when I watched that, he has this very odd ritual of insisting on saluting solitary magpies!! Don’t ask me why, even Mum doesn’t get it and she has been with him for 16 years!! we have all just reached the conclusion he is a bit of a frootloop!

I will check out your TV cjhannel when the beans get home from school, they always love your movies so they will be in raptures!!

    love and tailwags,

    Ben xxxx

PeeeS.. My eldest bean has to be counselled on the “getting ready for school” issue too.. thats my job.. maybe we should marry them off and let them sort each other out!!

    Charlie,
You do a great job protecting your yard and family. I’ll need to study your stealth technique so that I can use that on the bunnies in my yard.

    Hi Charlie,

Sorry I haven’t been around lately. I must have used up all my frequent flyer miles! It looks like your hip is feeling better. You almost got that pesky Magpie!!

And that blue tongued lizard is really cool. Although, if I saw it in real life I just know that I’d be super freaked out

I would love to catch a birdie! I did roach on a smelly dead one once, just as much fun but not worth the pongy perfume rub down Pooky gave me when I got home.

Hey Charlie, you nearly caught him. That magpie sure had some nerve to be in your backyard.
Do you get Pluvers too? We do & I hate them noisy things.

Keep up your good patrolling work.
Might need you to give me some lessons sometime. I’m not sneaky enough :dogblush:

    Cheers

    Hi Charlie

Great video of you chasing the magpie. You remind me of a cat the way you snuck up on it. Congratulation on launching Charlie TV.

    hey Charlie Daniels,

Wow – you almost had the magpie! Good job! Magpies and blue-tongued lizards. You sure live in an interesting area! I think it is so great of you to offer your doggy wisdom and advice to help Moo get off to school ok. That is a very important job to have.

Were you protecting the newspapers from the alien possums?

Ahhh, Magpie season – Phoenix’s favorite. He can pursue – and be pursued in return – to his hearts content.
