I’m a Big Brother …

October 19th, 2008 Posted in All About Me, At Home No Gravatar

TBU & HH have decided that my yard is big enough to share, so they have joined the Foster Program with Hunter Animal Rescue.  Have a go at his picture. He’s a bit of a dope, but he’s not too bad for a first attempt. HH told me I was going to get a brother or sister about my age. Huh !! She got that wrong! This kid is only 8 weeks old.

Charlie & Xavier

I have chatted him and told him the rules and he hasn’t argued too much. Yet! Then again, he has only been here for three hours. So … I reserve my opinion until tomorrow night. For now, he sleeps on the floor. The Lounge is MINE and I get first pick of the stuffies!

 Charlie & Xavier

He doesn’t really live here. He is only visiting until he finds his forever home. He is only borrowing My Bi-Peds. So if you know someone who wants him, can you please let me know before he finds all my secret hiding spots!

Charlie & Xavier

Oh! By the way. His name is Xavier, but I’ll call him The Kid . You can read more about him here, or click on the HAR-Xavier Menu at the top of this page.

Charlie Daniels

Yep, I think I’ll have to keep a close eye on The Kid for a while!

Charlie – What a nice dude you are to share your stuff with the little orphen dog. He is a big puppy, huh? Watch out, though, my momma says she could never be a foster mom because she would keep them all!

He’s a big puppy–gonna be a big dog some day! How kind of you to share your bi-peds and stuffies! My mom does a lot of fostering (we have 5 right now in addition to the giant pack)–she says it can be hard to give them up but you know they are going to a good home. But, sometimes, just SOMETIMES, there’s that ONE dog that’s just so special he has to stay. My mom says that was ME!! Have fun with The Kid.

    Hi, Charlie!
I am sure you are having fun with Xavier! You need to teach him all he needs about life.
Are you going to share with him your secrets about the fine art of de-stuffing??
    Kisses and hugs

How exciting! My folks say that fostering a pup is the most rewarding experience. You are so lucky! Make sure to teach that little guy all he needs to know about being a big boy.

Charlie mate, Xavier is a sweetie pie. It’s really great of your Bi-Peds to join the foster program. All the pups that they foster are going to do really well with you guys. I bet they’ll never want to leave :dognowink:

    Hi Charlie
Congrats on having The Kid come live with you. Fostering is a wonderful thing to do for a pup. I’m sure you will teach him good doggie manners. I hope he finds a forever home as great as yours.
    Love Ruby

    CD,
that is very nice of your humans to give Xavier a temporary home, but you must keep and eye on him like a big brother! You know those pupsters can get into alot of trouble. Did you tell “the kid” about the opossums?

I used to be a foster dog too! And we got to have a foster sleep over last night, that was fun! I wish a 8 week old puppy would come stay with us.. but the Mum says with 6 of us now we take too much room so a foster wouldnt fit. Pooh. Chase and Levi don’t like foster dogs either, but I do!

You are so good to be sharing your home with him for a while!
