Happy and sad …
October 27th, 2008 Posted in All About Me, AwardsWell I must admit, I have mixed emotions tonight. A part of me wants to jump for joy, and another part of me feels lower than a snakes belly.
I think The Kid might have felt the same as me, ’cause he was a bit whinny for most of the day.
Deep down, I think we both knew something was going on.
We got very close during the time we spent together. Hey! In the end I even let him sleep next to me on My Lounge!
Today he starts his new life in his ForEver Home with his lovely new Bi-Peds. I know he is just going to have the besterest time. I hope I taught him enough things in the short time we spent together, ’cause I know he sure taught me heaps!
See ya Max. Max! Oh yeah, did I forget to tell you? His name is Max now, but he’ll always be The Kid to me!
Hey! Because I’ve been so busy recently, I completely forgot to show you the awards some of my friends have given me, and obviously I also forgot to thank my fantastic friends too!
Check these out:
I got this one from The Desert Pups

and this from Asta

and this from Mack & Lilly & Paris

Thanks all. I love your blogs too.

Well you obviously did a great job in teaching him the basics. Good luck on your trial Xavier/Max! Charlie, if you need a break, you can always come and visit me. We’d be happy to host you. Did you make sure to tell his new Bi-Peds that he knows how to blog? That way he won’t seem so far away.

Just wait until you get your first photo of Max all growing and playing and thrilled at his new home. It’s sad to say goodbye but when you hear of all the loving nicknames and big plans his new folks have made for him you’ll feel all glowy inside!

G’day Charlie Mate,
It’s really a happy day cause the Kid has finally got a furever home. Do you think the Kid’s new bi-peds will help him start his own blog? He was getting the hang of it after all.
Here’s to the kid and his new home.
Cheers,

We are going to miss the kid too. It was fun watching Charlie interact. Maybe its time to get him his own protege?
Good luck to Max… I wish him the best in his new life. You have helped him out so much Charlie and you should be proud of yourself.

Yeah, that’s the hardest part–giving them away to a new family. Even Graham is starting to grow on me–he’s a tough little booger. I think you did a great job showing Max around and about canine life. He’ll do much much better for having know you!

hey Charlie Daniels,
I am really sorry you are so sad. It is always hard to say good-bye to our furry friends! But the great news is that The Kid is getting a wonderful forever home! And not only that, you have left a forever impression on The Kid as his first mentor! He will never forget you and will lead a much better life from having learned many valuable doggy lessons from you!
Maybe your bi-peds can bring in another little one for you to train and teach and love!
Cheer up!! You have furry friends all over the world!
Suka
p.s. Congrats on your fame! Saw your pic and story in LickedToys! Very cool Charlie Daniels!

Awwww… It’s a sad day but then again, it’s a happy one too. The little Kid has got a new home! One thing for sure, you know he won’t be sleeping on your lounge, stealing your toys, whatever anymore. Just look at your sad puppy eyes in the last picture…

It’s sad to see the Kid go, Charlie. That’s the tough thing about fostering. But he’ll adjust to his new home and he’ll be happy for the rest of his life. I hope he won’t be going too far away from you so that you can see eachother sometimes. Cheer up, my friend. You were so good to Max and he’ll always love you.
