Xavier went on trial at what he hoped would be his ForEver Home on Monday 27 October 2008. We are very happy to say his trial went very well, and yes, he now has his forever home with a lovely family.

He is now known as Max.

19th October 2008

My name is Xavier. My birthday is 20 August 2008. I live in Newcastle, Australia.

I am one of nine and the only boy in the litter. We have grown so fast, we play too rough, and the more we grow the rougher we play. We had to be separated.

So here I am. I am staying with a foster family, where there are children and another dog until I find my forever home, and I get on well with everybody. I just wish I had a family of my own.

I am a Boxer/Ridgeback. I will grow into a big handsome boy. I hope I find a family with a big back yard. I love people, and I love to play, but most of all, I love to cuddle. I guess that may change as I grow up! For now, I am the ultimate lap puppy.

My foster parents think I have the most beautiful eyes, and they giggle at the size of my paws. She says I am very beautiful and anyone who sees me will fall in love with me.

Have a look at my pictures and tell me what you think.

Max Update: 12 November 2008

I thought you’d like to know I am settling in well here. I love playing with the dust pan and broom and really love tossing empty plastic bottles around the yard. I sleep in the house on a really comfy bed and I’m trying hard to learn my house manners but the flight of steps to the lawn seems so steep. I’ve been on walks to meet the neighbours and have buried some bones in secret places in the garden. Today I went to work with Dave, and we took some rubbish to the tip. I would have loved to get out of the car because the smells needed investigating, maybe another time. I believe I’m off to the Vet at the end of the month to have “that” operation. Hope I’ll be ok. I’ll keep in touch.
