It ain’t fair …

Yesterday HH, TBU, Moo and Pumpkin had an adventure …

Stroud

They travelled to see the place with the green roof again … though I am still not supposed to say anymore about that place in case I jinx the whole thing …  but Molly and I think we would like it to be our new home (well from what we have been told about it anyway!)

I mean … look at this … obviously Pumpkin and Moo had lots of fun …

Pumpkin & Moo on Silo Hill

I think Pumpkin was helping  Moo to travel fast enough so that spinny thing on his head could help him to fly!

When they came home, we could tell they had been somewhere interesting ’cause they all had a particularly … umm .. how can I say this nicely … umm … rural … nah … country … nah … bovine … nah …. cow dung  smell about them!

They said they saw some exciting things … like this …

Stroud Rodeo

and this …

Stroud Rodeo

… and they also told me they saw some big cows!  Hey I am a part Cattle Dog … how come I couldn’t see them for myself?  I mean … I may soon be living near them … I reckon it would be a good idea if I introduced myself to them don’t you?

I would just walk up and say … “Hi Mr Cattle dude” …

Stroud Rodeo

… on second thoughts … maybe I would just yell it from a distance …

Stroud Rodeo

Do they ever stand still with all their feet on the ground?  They look a bit scary to me …  In fact … if they greet everyone like the one in this moving picture … I think I might stay away from them …  Perhaps there is less Cattle Dog in me than first thought!

Warning: The bull slightly tramples someone in this moving picture!

Nah … I think I should be a Horse Dog instead … they look much less threatening!

Anyway … My Bi-Peds said we couldn’t go with them because dogs weren’t allowed.  I reckon that stinks!

But if that was the rule … what was this doing there?

Puppy at Stroud Rodeo

Yeah I know he is cute … but he looks like a dog to me!

So … that’s why there are no pics of Molly and I today!

It’s Friday Night and the young Bi-Peds are home …

Molly & Moo

I think Molly is trying to get close to Moo …

Chook, Moo & Molly

OK Molly I think that is enough …

Charlie & Moo

… look into my eyes …you belong to me !

Hi … it’s me … Molly Daniels …  look into my eyes and I will take you on a journey …   :dogwacko:

Molly

It’s my turn to help with the ‘puter, and as I am now starting to get the swing of my new home, I am going to show you some random pics you probably haven’t seen before …

It has been unusually hot here lately … winter has only just ended and today it was 32C  (89F) … what’s up with that?  Normally it would be around 20C (68F).  The other day we got an ice-cream each … it was very yummy.

Charlie & Molly

In this photo you can also see how all the grass has died off because it has been so hot!  :dognowink:

Well …. I’m sure the heat had something to do with it …. I mean .. I couldn’t possibly have dug that many holes could I?  Charlie told me the yard used to be completely covered in grass once …  it must have been cooler then!    :dogblink:

This is what the ground looks like now…

Yard covered in Chicken Wire

Apparently those funny shapes on the ground set up some sort of magnetic force field that draws the grass up out of the ground!  We were told we shouldn’t lay on it otherwise we could get stuck to the ground forever!   :doghuh:

This is a shot of Charlie sitting at the back door staring at the ground – trying to figure out how those shapes got on the ground …

Charlie Daniels

You can see how the magnetic force field from those shapes is drawing the “Super-Charlie Powers” out of his eyes.

This was when Moo was playing with us in the yard. See how we are all chasing the ball?  I am sure Moo did some magic … ’cause I still can’t figure out how he managed to throw it into Charlie’s mouth!

Charlie & Molly with Moo

Besides, the plant in front of us was telling me to look the oher way!   :dogblush:

This was when Charlie was posing for the Concretors Calendar Competition.  I don’t know why, cause we don’t really know anyone who works with concrete … I think maybe he was making it up just so he could have his photo taken again!

Charlie Daniels

On hot days at he beach, I have learnt you shouldn’t look directly at the camera …

Charlie & HH

… and Charlie wanted me to show you this picture, cause he reckons it makes his back leg look a bit weird!  What do you think?

Charlie

They aren’t like my lovely straight legs are they!    :dogwink:

Molly

Hey … can you guess how long it takes to walk to to the end of the sand you can see in the top left of this picture?   :dogohmy:

Molly & Charlie

Last night  we spotted an Owl in a tree in the back yard.  I think the tree was feeling the effect of the Magnetic Field from the shapes on the ground … it was glowing for some reason!

Owl in tree

When I wake up from a nap on the lounge, I like to stand like this for a while.  I don’t know why I do this!

Molly

It’s probably got something to do with me not being able to feel my legs after Charlie has been lying all over me.

Charlie found a football when he was out walking with HH the other day … he looks so proud of it doesn’t he?

Charlie Daniels

He didn’t want to share it with me … he can be like that sometimes!   :dogwub:

Charlie & Molly

But, it’s ok ’cause I got a stuffie of my own the other day and I didn’t share it with him either!   :dogcool:

Molly

Did you know these birds laugh at things?  Well this particular Kookaburra was laughing at Charlie ….

Kookaburra

Why?

There are steps here ...

Because it was stinking hot … and Charlie wouldn’t go into the pool!   I think Charlie is worried he won’t be able to get out of the pool again if he jumps in.   Pumpkin was trying to show Charlie that’s what the steps are for.  I was trying to push Charlie in!   :dogwink:

Oh yeah … I forgot to show you this one before.  When Charlie wouldn’t share is newly found football … Moo tried to use some “ancient martial art” force on him …  it didn’t make Charlie share the football .. but it did make my eyes glow!

Molly Moo and Charlie

And lastly ….. My Bi-Peds couldn’t figure out why the Wisteria  seemed to be vanishing bit by bit over night.

Charlie and the Wisteria

I have proof it wasn’t me ……  can you see me anywhere in this photo?      :dogph34r:

By the way …. nice spots Charlie!   :dogtongue2:

Where did the Wisteria Go?

I think he did a good job!

Molly Daniels …. Out !

Molly … Molly … Molly …

HH & TBU knew yesterday was going to be very hot … so we all awoke really early and headed to the beach before it got too hot …

Charlie Daniels

We were only going to stay for a little while, ’cause the soft sand at the beach tires me out very quickly, and my dodgy back legs make it hard to walk or run too far …

Charlie & Molly

However … today Molly decided she was going to overcome her shyness and be really friendly with every human and dog she encountered …

Molly Daniels

Look at her there .. with her “come and play” with me grin!  Don’t get me wrong … I am really proud of her for finally being brave and introducing herself to other dogs without me having to be the chaperone ….

But ….

I think it all went to her head …

Charlie Daniels

I was allowing her to run around and have fun … while keeping any eye on her all the time …

Molly Daniels

but she decided to join a group of other dogs who were walking with three humans … and just ran and walked and ran and walked …  and kept on running and walking and running and walking … until I couldn’t see her anymore!

By the time I realised she wasn’t gonna come back on her own … I had to convince TBU to come with me while I searched for her … and searched for her … and once I could see her … follow her while barking out telling her to come back …

Now this is the part where I started to get very unhappy with her, (and more importantly, the ignorant humans she was exploring with!!!) as by this time my back legs were already telling me it was time to go home … BUT … I had two walk 2 kilometres down the beach (nearly 1.5 miles) until we could catch up with them.

Surely doggy owner etiquette would suggest if humans had walked that far with a dog that didn’t belong to them … who had her name on her collar … who they patted every now and then … and they could hear me barking her name … and looked around every time TBU called her name and whistled (and believe me he can whistle very loudly) … would stop until we could catch up to them …. but no … they just kept walking ….   :dogmad:

If you would like to view the moving picture of our day (below) … you can actually see this group of dumb humans as they walk past …  (I had to get TBU to try a new video streaming method for this one, as U-TUBE! decided to strip the soundtrack from it when he uploaded it – and the moving picture just wouldn’t work without the soundtack).

Turn up your volume to watch this one and sit back and relax!      It goes for a little while!  :dogcool:

Once we finally had Molly with us  … of course we had to walk the whole way back again didn’t we!

When we got home, we didn’t really do much for the rest of the day!  My Bi-Peds gave me some doggy pain medication and I really just felt like sleeping and sleeping and sleeping …  I think Molly was very exhausted, coz she slept heaps too!  :dogtongue:

 Sleeping

I made sure she couldn’t get away this time!  :dogwacko:

Molly

… and tonight I made sure she was locked in …. just in case!   :doghappy:

Charlie Daniels

Sometimes I wonder why I convinced My Bi-Peds to keep her!   :dogunsure:

Warning … potentially offensive …

We apologise to anyone who may have visited us in the last 24 hours and only saw this

instead of pictures of us!  Some humans who can’t spell very well decided they wanted to spread their message by hacking into my blog … they didn’t even ask our permission … :dogangry:

We have no idea what the war is about … perhaps it is a war between idiots with limited understanding of spelling!

Anyway … I would like to show them how we would fight a war against them …

… by flinging lots of smelly stuff like this all over them!   :dogmad:

Celebrations …

August 30th, 2009 Posted in At Home | 8 Comments » No Gravatar

This weekend we celebrated two big occasions … and guess what?  We weren’t allowed to attend either of them !!!   :dogmad:

The first one … and this makes me feel really proud … was Moo played in the Grand Final with his footy team .. the Kotara Bears ….

Moo

I believe his team didn’t find all the other teams buried foot bones .. or the other team found more of his teams buried foot bones … or something like that … but as Molly & I weren’t allowed to attend, (because apparently dogs aren’t allowed on that sporting ground) I can’t tell you the exact bone finding score.

I am still really proud of him for making the grand final in his first season of footy though …  :dogcool:

When he came home he celebrated, by giving Molly a big hug on the lounge …

Moo & Molly

The other thing we celebrated this weekend was the birthday of our neighbour Johdee.  Molly and I celebrated it by sitting at the C-A-T Patrolling Spot while Our Bi-Peds enjoyed themselves on the other side of the fence!  :dogangry:

Charlie

Yep, we weren’t allowed to attend because that is where the C-A-Ts live and hence it isn’t a dog friendly yard!  :dogtongue:

Charlie Daniels

The B-B-Q smelt awesome, and I could hear music playing too …

Charlie & Molly

and we just sat here and watched the C-A-Ts   :doghuh:

Helping each other …

August 25th, 2009 Posted in All About Me | 9 Comments » No Gravatar

Did you read a couple of days ago where Molly told you about  me helping her sleep by blocking the light for her?

Well … Molly helps me out too … you see .. I have been told that I snore when I am asleep … and sometimes it disturbs My Bi-Peds when they are trying to watch  the giggle box.

So … Molly places one foot on my neck and another on my nose … this way she can control the pitch of my snoring and somehow actually play doggy tunes … if she wants high notes she squeezes my neck … and if she wants low notes she presses on my nose …

Sleeping

If she wants me to stop … like when My Bi-Peds complain … she just kicks me!   :dogwacko:

For everyone who commented on my fancy footwork on the stairs (yesterday), that is a style I have developed all by myself.  Nobody showed me how to do that … and I am very proud of it!  :dogcool:

Actually, due to my dodgy back legs, that is the only way I can get down the stairs …  :dogblush:

In other news … HH & TBU are still searching for our new home …

Hotel

See that big place with the green roof near the clock?  That may be our new home … but I can’t tell you anymore yet, just in case I jinx the whole thing!

But I can tell you this … everyone who sent their accommodation deposit for the last place that never happend … I will make sure it is honoured for this place … so when you all come to visit me I can ensure you have a place to sleep!

Oh! … and there is actually cattle there … like what am I supposed to do with them?   :dogwub:

It seems like HH & TBU have been searching forever … I hope this one comes through soon … otherwise our food supply will run out!   :dogsad:
